Smallswords W Kevin Dougherty has been making and using period correct smallswords for fencing. He uses a 1730s French pattern hilt mounted on a 30" epee blade (custom sizes available). Hilts are typically aged and blades are blued but a polished and buffed steel hilt is available as an option Prices range from $190.00 to $275.00
Spadroon hilts also by W. Kevin Dougherty are mounted with schlager blades and can be fabricated with a customer supplied blade. Prices $175.00-$225.00
Grips are custom turned and knurled by Tom Rockwell. They are unbreakable and made to any length, diameter, taper to provide the ultimate custom fit weapon. Prices $3.00-$5.00
Pommels turned in brass by Tom are threaded 6mm, 12-24 or customer preference and are available in different weights, lengths, tapers and can terminate in a radius (Italian) or hexagonal (French) to properly balance classical foils and epées. Prices $4.00-$5.00
False riccasos are milled from solid stock by Tom for use with Italian epees and foils using readily available French blades. Custom sizes available. Price $5.00
False Ricasso with Crossbar This is a collaborative effort from Tom and Kevin who joined forces for this "conversion kit". or "build it yourself Italian foil kit". Any standard French foil can be converted to Italian and back again by using this crossbar/ricasso and the accompanying grip or supply your own guard and blade we can supply the rest..
Wrist straps, used with Italian foils and epees are made without stitching that will rot or wear out and are made with leather bodies and steel buckles. They will not tear like the commonly available Velcro straps. Price $9.00
Targets are made from heavy canvas and over stuffed (to practice those epee shots) and backed with solid wood. We us them at our club for sabre, foil and epee training and have them at home on the closet door. Size is approx 12"x16"x6" Price $25.00

Point D-Arrat. The only way to fence epee. They are a pain to make but a pleasure to use. We have mounted all of our epees with them. By request we will be making some drilled and tapped for mounting on electric blades (add $2.00) Price $5.00
