Dear Mr. Kevin Dougherty,
We will be hosting the SUNY Purchase invitational tournament once again this spring. This is your formal invitation to participate. The tournament will be held March 10th (for more information please see: http://associationforhistoricalfencing.com/events/classical-foil-invitational-tournament/) for fencers 17-25 yrs old or currently enrolled college students. The purpose of this tournament is to provide students in the beginning stages of their training to test their skills in a tournament format. We will have competitions in foil and sabre.
Then on March 11th we have free fencing and a short workshop. Participants can take a free workshop with Maestro Martinez for 2 hours and the floor is open for 3 hours of free fencing.
I have attached the registration form. Please note that everyone must be preregistered, there will be no registration at the door which will allow ample time for tournament preparation.
I hope that at least one person will be coming to represent your organization. I am sure they will be very happy with the tournament format and especially with the time on Sunday. I would appreciate an estimate of the number of people attending by Feb 6th to help in our preparation.
If you need help with accommodations or have any questions please let me know.
Sincerely,
Jared Kirby
